The event is being organized by the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies at Concordia University.
Oleksandra Matviichuk's lecture will shed light on the human rights situation in Ukraine. Following her address, she will be joined by the Honorable Irwin Cotler, former Attorney General and Justice Minister of Canada, Mark MacKinnon of the Globe and Mail and the Honourable Chris Alexander, former Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship of Canada. Magda Popeanu (City councillor, Executive committee) will represent Mayor Valerie Plante and will provide some introductory remarks
The lecture will be followed by a networking reception at 12:30 PM, offering an opportunity for dialogue over light refreshments and drinks.
